Welcome to Northwind Exteriors! We are a family-owned and operated roofing and siding company based in Park Ridge, IL, dedicated to enhancing your home’s beauty, durability, and value. Founded by Joe Breisch, our company was born from a simple mission: deliver top-quality exterior renovations with honesty, integrity, and a personal touch.
After years of working in the construction and building materials industry (including nearly a decade training & consulting contractors at ABC Supply), Joe saw an opportunity to redefine what homeowners can expect from a contractor.
In 2016, he launched Northwind Exteriors with the goal of combining high-quality materials, highly trained crews, and a seamless, consultative process that puts customers first. Today, that mission is alive and well in every project we complete. We treat our clients like neighbors and their homes like our own. Most of our team members – including Joe – are parents with young children, so we understand the challenges of juggling busy family life.
We know a major roof or siding project can feel overwhelming and time consuming. That’s why we’ve invested in cutting-edge technology and efficient processes to make your experience as easy and stress-free as possible. Joe Breisch
At the heart of Northwind Exteriors is founder and CEO Joe Breisch, a hands-on leader who brings unmatched dedication, deep industry expertise, and strong community values to every project.
Raised in a hardworking, blue-collar family right here in Chicagoland, Joe learned early on the importance of integrity, grit, and treating people right. He went on to earn his degree in Business Administration and Marketing from St. Norbert College and even played Division III college football – experiences that helped shape his leadership, teamwork, and perseverance.
Joe's professional journey spans decades in the construction and building materials industry, including nearly 10 years with ABC Supply, one of the nation’s largest distributors. There, he supplied, trained, and consulted hundreds of roofing and siding contractors across Chicagoland, learning what separates average workmanship from truly exceptional service.
In founding Northwind Exteriors, Joe set out to raise the standard for exterior remodeling in Chicagoland. His goal? Combine big-company professionalism with small-company care. Whether it’s helping a client pick colors, performing final quality inspections, or coaching his team, Joe is deeply involved in every aspect of the business.
A Family Man First
Above all, Joe is a proud husband, father, coach, and community leader. He and his wife, Jacqueline Stephens Breisch, live in Rosemont, IL with their two beautiful children and family dog, Maisy.
Joe is also a dedicated coach for his son Aiden’s football and basketball teams, proudly volunteering in both Park Ridge and Rosemont. Whether it’s cheering Everly on at a dance recital or coaching Aiden’s team on the field, Joe’s greatest joy is being present for his family and giving back to the community that supports them.
